Persons accompanying BC Rabbits (Class P) must pay the BC Rabbit fee, and will not be timed.

Family registration in person only. Family consists of parents with children 17 years of age and younger. Each person submits an application in the appropriate age class.

The 99 Mile Day Lodge at 99 Mile Ski Trail Area

Skiers should SEED THEMSELVES according to estimated finish time. The start area will be zoned. You must wear a bib to ski the course, and it must be visible.
RACE INFORMATION:
The Cariboo Marathon is a CLASSIC TECHNIQUE EVENT. SKATING is NOT ALLOWED. Skating violators will be disqualified.
Start/Finish;
All Classes start and finish at the 99 Mile Ski area stadium.
MASS START AT 9:00AM; Grouped by estimated finish times.
Course;
The Cariboo 50 km Marathon course consists of two 20 km loops, and a 10 km loop to finish. The Cariboo 30 km Mini Marathon course consists of one 20 km loop, and a 10 km loop to finish.
The 20 km Junior and Recreational events complete one 20 km loop. The BC Rabbits 10 km and Recreational 10 km events complete the 10 km loop once. The 5 km Rabbits cut-off from the 10 km loop at the Beanstalk Cabin. We think all skiers will enjoy the new gently rolling sections.
Clothing;
Clothing bags will be available at the start, and finish area.
Check Points;
Check points with refreshments approximately every 5 km.
Parking; Is available at the start/finish area at the Nordics 99 mile Lodge.
Refunds;
All fees submitted with an accepted registration are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation due to weather conditions, the organizers reserve the right to recover costs incurred. Refund for “Medical Reasons” available only with a Doctor’s Certificate.
Cut-Off Time;
Late in the day Cut-off time is 1:30 PM at the 99 Mile Stadium and 2:00PM at the North Checkpoint Juice Station. Skiers will be directed up the 10 km cut off.
Timing;
Skiers will be timed in the CATEGORY THEY ENTER. Skiiers completing a longer distance than they required for the Category entered will have their time shown in the Category Entered. Skiers not completing the Category Distance will be disqualified as DNF. The official time recorded on the results is the LAST time through the FINISH.
PLEASE NOTIFY THE TIMERS AT THE FINISH IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED YOUR DISTANCE.
Results;
Results will be available at the awards’
Results will also be posted at www.100milenordics.com. And at www.zone4.ca.
Awards:
Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in all 50 km and 30 km age categories, in the Junior category “G” and the Rabbit category “F”
Medals will not be given to Recreational categories.
There will be draw and other prizes at the Awards. Skiers must be present to be eligible for the draw prizes.

To our fellow cross country ski enthusiasts,
“There’s gold in them thar hills.”
Get out your skis, prospectors gear, and dance hall girls fancy dresses. The 100 Mile Nordics are hosting the Cariboo Marathon Gold Rush Classic on Saturday Feb 4 2012. We hope you can include our event in your plans this season. With our Gold Rush theme, excellent skiing, and Gold Rush Prospectors dance, we are again hosting one of the premier Loppets in British Columbia.
We made a number of changes with the start and finish at the stadium, and a more gently rolling course, your skis will flow, and we hope present more pleasant surprises,. In the Gold Rush theme celebration, top Male and Female racers in the 50 and 30 km events will have “gold prizes” as will the top Local Male and Female in the 50 km event. There are 20 km and 10 km recreational divisions, a 20 km for juniors, and 5 and 10 km course for Jackrabbits and accompanying parents. Age class times for all 50 km Marathoners, and 30 km Mini Marathoners will be available. Not to mention many prizes, including best Sourdough beard, and Gold Rush costumes.
Presentations of prizes and awards begin at 7PM Saturday, in the 100 Mile House Community Hall. By 8PM we plan to be “stomping up a storm” with music and dancing for all ages, including our “Hurdy-Gurdy Girls, and Prospectors.
We also invite you to stay for the rest of the weekend. If you’re coming with a group, be sure to ask for group rates. The 100 Mile Nordics’ and the community of 100 Mile House extend to you a special invitation. We’d love to see you here this year!
