How to Size Nordic Gear, Listing Your Stuff for the Ski Swap, and Where to Buy in the Cariboo

Our annual gear swap (November 6 – 7) has gone online this year as COVID-19 capacity limits make an in-person event unfeasible. Board member Brent Ehlers has put together some great advice whether you are choosing the online ski swap, buying used gear privately, or shopping at a local sports store.

Understanding fit and sizing is very important if you are buying privately. Some stores that sell Nordic gear may not be great at sizing gear either, so it is a good idea to have a basic understanding.

A blog created by Roy Davidson, who used to be a 100 Mile Nordics coach has very good posts about how to size Nordic gear and where to purchase it. Visit Roy’s blog at www.xcskiguy.ca.
